Another full day of archery, apart from it feeling like outdoors not a bad day.
Just a reminder that this Friday we’ll be having the Halloween fun shoot again.
If anyone would like to help out, by bringing some home-made or shop bought nibbles, any help with these and some decorations would be greatly appreciated on the night.
You will be shooting at the themed targets only as it is a fun night for everyone to meet up and have a bit of fun, so no serious shooting or proper faces allowed. Fancy dress welcome.
This Sunday is the 1st Leg of the Viking Trophy.
This will now be ran over the two sessions to give as many members the chance to take part as possible.
Remember only your first session score will count towards this shoot. So if you do shoot in both sessions (space permitting) only your morning score counts. If you do shoot on the morning and do not enter a score or just practice you will not be allowed to enter a score if you then shoot on the afternoon session. The records officer or a committee member will be attending both sessions to collect in the score sheets.
For a bit of fun we are going to start taking photos of some of the carpet rolling disasters, successes and avoidance. To start it off one of our beginners agreed to be the first to get his photo taken after his carpet rolling disaster (his second attempt was much better)
Remember to do your part in rolling up the carpets at the end of a shoot, whether you have shot or not, if everyone helps it’s so much easier. After all it’s every members club.
The club AGM is next Thursday so please get your nominations for committee posts in to the club secretary by this Friday or Monday at the latest. So if you would like to put your name forward, get someone to propose and second your application for the post your interested in and get it to the club secretary.
If you want to get more involved in our club you don’t have to be a committee member; there is always plenty to do, indoors and outdoors, either helping in field parties at tournaments, organizing tournaments, helping with raffles or general maintenance, all sorts of stuff. Just let any committee member know your interest or availability in helping out.
Remember it is every members club………
Well it was a fantastic day for this years Tyne vs Tees shoot.
It was a good turn out and the weather was excellent. Some good scores by both senior and junior archers. Big thanks to all that took part and helped out to make this event possible. Cleadon proved again to be a fantastic archery venue. A few photos of the day below and if you have any to add please see a member of the committee to get them added. The full results have been sent to DNAA and will soon be listed on there results page. But they are also available here Tyne Tees results
