Club Champs Notice!

You have probably heard this already but if you are taking part in any of the club champs that fall on a Sunday your score will only be counted if you shoot in the afternoon session, all scores shot in the morning will not be counted for the champs.

Also, for newer members, if you are taking part in the champs on the afternoon you can not shoot in the morning, if you do, your afternoon score will not be counted.

Hope to see you there!

Amendments!

Hello everyone!

Just a message to say if you have spotted anything that is wrong and needs changing on the website please let me know next time you see me or via email or facebook and I will make it right!

Thank you!

Kate 🙂

New Year fun shoot

The new years fun shoot was the first shoot we did after the Christmas break.

It was a great shoot and lovely to see everyone again.

Thank you to everyone who turned up to take part and thank you for embracing the fun!

Shaun G, Ann C, Lia S and Dillon C won the overall prizes for Gent, lady, junior girl and junior boy

(Even if it was more chocolate because I know you didn’t get enough over Christmas)

Thank you again and we hope to see a lot of everyone throughout the year!

Trophies

Just a reminder for anyone who has a trophy from the presentation evening, could you please return it do Dave Crow before the 15th of February so he can make sure they are all accounted for.

Thank you 🙂

Boxing Day Shoot

For anyone coming down to the boxing day shoot this is just a reminder that if you wanted to take part and shoot for a prize you must bring a prize yourself, for someone else to win. The prize doesn’t have to be expensive, just a little something for someone to win but make sure you wrap it up!

To make it clear, its not a round, we shoot with jelly bows at balloons for a prize, it is fun, believe me!

The shoot is at the cricket club, the club opens at 11am so if you could try and get there for 11am to 11:15am, half 11 at the very latest so we can start!

The Novices

It is unbelievable how well people are doing, almost everyone from the beginners course, recurve and barebow, seniors and juniors, are doing so well it just has to be wrote about.

Well done to them for doing so well and shooting so brilliantly on the first and second week of leaving the beginners course. It is lovely to have people who are new to the club and already have such enthusiasm and determination for archery and the club.

Keep it up everyone!

Congratulation Thomas & Caitlin

Two of the clubs juniors have excelled themselves this weekend.

Thomas Jones, shooting for the County at Penrith won the Boy’s Overall Longbow trophy with a score of 354, a personal best for him and also gained him his Black Rose Award.

Caitlin Bailey, who for the past few months has been doing her Level 1 Coaching Course, passed her assessment on Saturday with flying colours.  So we shall have a brand new Level 1 Coach on the line on Wednesday night.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to you both.
