Cancelled shoots

With deep regret we have made a decision to cancel the following shoots:

Jimmy Melvin on Saturday the 2nd July

Gosforth Arrow on Sunday 3rd July

This was a very difficult decision to make and only came at what we see as the last minute, in time to put the word out to as many as possible.

The cancellation of these shoots is down to a reduced number of entrants, a lack of adequate field party/volunteers and the clubs unwillingness to operate at a significant financial loss.

We hope to see the numbers return for these shoots next year and in the future.

Archery GB’s Big Weekend

Cleadon Archers are taking part in Archery GB’s Big Weekend on Saturday 4th June (10am – 4pm).  If anyone wants to help out please contact Paul. Below is a promotional flyer, feel free to print it out and distribute it to local schools and clubs.

Big Weekend Poster

On the day, the left hand side of the field will be taken for the Big Weekend but it shouldn’t prevent club members from shooting on the right hand side (if anything it would be good if there were club members shooting).

More things have changed!

Hello All,

We now have a Vegas scheduled in on Friday the 8th of January for practice for Ponteland’s Vegas on the 10th of January, because of the asked for Vegas the Junior postal has moved to Friday the 29th of January, the same day as the compound postal.

Thank you!

Things have changed

There has been only 1 change to the calendar and that will only apply to juniors, I have moved the junior postal to the 18th of December, the same date as the compound postal, due to some juniors unable to make the previous date.

I have also updated the club records for this month and they will also be put up on the indoor notice board on this coming Wednesday (2/10/15). The same goes for the handicaps, they are updated and will be put on the notice board.

I have also uploaded a file in another post with the handicap adjustment award winners on. This months winner is Paul Cutting with an adjustment of 7. Well done!

Halloween fun shoot this Friday 30th October

Just a reminder that this Friday we’ll be having the Halloween fun shoot again.

If anyone would like to help out, by bringing some home-made or shop bought nibbles, any help with these and some decorations would be greatly appreciated on the night.

You will be shooting at the themed targets only as it is a fun night for everyone to meet up and have a bit of fun, so no serious shooting or proper faces allowed. Fancy dress welcome.

Longbow and Compound Postals

Please read the following from Kate:

Hello everyone!

We have put a longbow AND compound postal on for this Friday, no it’s not on the calendar because it’s just been decided.

Very very sorry for the short notice but I didn’t realise some postals started in October, thought it was November.

4 longbows and 3 compounds for the teams!

Thank you very much!
